Living, raising kids, and going through job transitions.  And yet I  managed to do a little work - just forgot to document it here.  I have too many blogs . . . . but here's the stuff you missed

Moving on, I have new ROW - mostly to accommodate the above ground needs of the family.  It has meant redoing the basement and refiguring out how to make a minimal wood shop and a model railroad work in the same space.

The result is 10 ft 6 inches by 16 inches of new ROW that will soon connect to a large part of the old benchwork:

this is actually a three piece set of old FreeMo HO benchwork salvaged last year form a local modeler who didn't need it.  The plan is to do these sections in compliance with FreeMoN standards so that I can take it to meets . . . while reusing about two thirds of the existing layout (which will attach to the end of the modules out of th e photo to the left). This has meant a lot of cleaning - which is still on going, but this change is really positive and allows me to correct a lot of track plan compromises that weren't working in my other space.

Wow, real life!

Good to read you are getting back to it after a hiatus.  I like your track detection system for the crossing signals.
